Happy Thanksgiving

Wow, November already, It really snuck up on me this time, I have had so much on my mind lately that I was almost completely unprepared for November.

It was 3 yrs ago on the 2nd of November that Rob and I packed up our life in Molalla and moved here to the Coast, the place where we always came, to seek peace, quiet, solitude, to destress, to center ourselves. And it was the best decision ever, there is not one day that I have ever regret it.

November also brings us the start of the Holiday Season, This year I am going to try and make it to the Town Christmas Tree Lighting here in Tillamook, I’m hoping to get some pictures of Santa interacting with the people at the Lighting Ceremony, this will be a first for me, but I’m looking forward to it. I am also hoping to photograph some of the Christmas Decorations in the Storefront windows here in the Old town part of Tillamook, of course this all depends on if its raining that evening.

However, First thing we need to do is to Get Through Thanksgiving Day, This year Robs family is coming down here to the Coast, His sister Sue is hosting Thanksgiving this year at her home in the Rockaway Beach area, its definitely going to be differently this year.

And then we also have King Tides that begin on Thanksgiving Day and end on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, So of course that is another event I want to try and capture, Friday Im planning on going down to Cape Kiwanda to check out the King Tides at high tide, and hopefully get some amazing photos of the king tides.

And The Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad will be bringing back the Christmas Train starting the Day after Thanksgiving, it will run on Saturdays and Sundays until the weekend before Christmas. This is another thing I am hoping to get to shoot this year. I missed it last year, and the year before (2020) they didn’t run the Christmas Train due to COVID.

So that’s what is going on with The RA Adventurer, Lots of Adventures planned throughout the Holiday Season, now lets see how many I actually get to accomplish.

I hope that all my friends and Followers here in the United States, has a wonderful Thanksgiving this upcoming week.
